				Point

The following pertinent facts may provide food for thought to people who are willing to view PDA technology with an open mind.

- Newton application code and information can be refreshed on-line.

- PCMCIA modem cards with encryption and usable RAM will soon be available.

The upshot of all these points is that banking in the past has been purely based on a clients interaction with a banking branch, ie. a static banking facility.

The introduction of the ATM provided static, 24 hour banking, unheard of when first introduced. When initially introduced the facilities had many sceptics yet today they are a common if not standard facility delivered or rather expected by banking customers.

The event of truly portable and informative banking is about to erupt onto the general populace over the next 2 - 3 years, this introduction will most probably take shape of a PDA device which will be used for banking and the dissemenation of banking information to Bank clients.

How long will the same Banking clients take to demand that banking follow them, not they follow their bank, which today may be accessable at one location and be moved tomorrow.

This will be a direction that will come of age sooner rather than later, with all its sceptics.

We hope you enjoy the look of your Portable ATM banking device wherever your PDA is.
